President Says Proud Of Nation's Discipline In SOPs Compliance Against Coronavirus
President Dr. Arif Alvi on Thursday said that Pakistan's success in minimizing the effects of the coronavirus pandemic lies in the blessings of Allah, the government's sensible policy of blocking and disciplining the nation in following standard operating procedures (SOP).
"I am proud of the Pakistanis who have shown great discipline in taking security measures that are neglected even in the West. I want you to continue the same behavior this Eid al-Adha," the President said in a special video message, urging people to continue observing the SOP in the Wake of Eid al-Adha falling on Saturday.
President Alvi said that Pakistan was able to significantly control the situation with the coronavirus, as there was a downward trajectory of the disease after June 20.
He noted that the government is not panicking about the current situation and is implementing the best strategy to get out of the current situation.
The President said that The essay's emergency cash program provides financial assistance to the poor during the blockade.
He said that with a spike in coronavirus cases in a neighboring country, the myth that the virus does not survive in hot weather conditions has been shattered.
The President advised the people to take special care in connection with the upcoming Eid al-Adha by wearing masks, maintaining a social distance, and avoiding meetings.
"Put on masks, offer prayers at a distance, and don't allow handshakes and hugs on Eid al-Adha," he said.
He encouraged older people to perform Eid al-Adha at home and said he would do the same.
The President asked the people to accept SOP when purchasing sacrificial animals at cattle markets.
"InshaAllah, we will defeat the coronavirus challenge with our combined efforts," he said
